For those seeking high-altitude adventures, we recommend an optional excursion to one of the surrounding peaks:
Board the Luzern–Interlaken Express for a scenic journey through the picturesque Brünig Pass. Enjoy spectacular views of deep valleys, alpine lakes, and forested slopes. Arrive in Interlaken, a resort town nestled between Lakes Thun and Brienz and surrounded by towering mountains. Spend your evening soaking in the alpine charm. Overnight in Interlaken. (B)

Enjoy a full day to explore Interlaken and the surrounding region. We highly recommend an optional excursion to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe, Europe’s highest railway station at 3,454 metres. Travel via cogwheel train past the North Face of the Eiger and gaze upon the breathtaking Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in the Alps. After breakfast, depart Montreux by train to the Swiss border or your international airport station. Alternatively, extend your stay to explore more of the Lake Geneva region or nearby destinations such as Lausanne or Zermatt. (B)

A coffee and a croissant will be served on board the Chocolate Train. The ‘Maison Cailler-Nestlé’ Chocolate Factory awaits you where you will learn everything about the history of Swiss chocolate making tradition followed by a chocolate tasting. Afterwards a coach takes you to the village of Gruyères for some leisure time. You might go for lunch and enjoy the tasty local cheese fondue or visit the Gruyères castle. Later that afternoon the coach takes you to ‘La Maison du Gruyère’ for a visit of the demonstration cheese factory followed by the return travel to Montreux by coach. Overnight in Montreux. (B)
