    Day 1 Arrive in Interlaken, Switzerland

    Arrive Interlaken by 1st class rail from Swiss border, airport, or rail station. Overnight in Interlaken.

    Day 2Jungfraujoch Excursion

    Jungfraujoch ExcursionAfter breakfast a highlight of your visit to Switzerland awaits you. Enjoy a journey to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe. The highest railway station in Europe is located 3454 m. Visitors gain access to a high-Alpine wonderland of ice, snow and rock, which they can admire from the viewing platforms on the Aletsch Glacier or in the Ice Palace. The rail journey to the Jungfraujoch is an experience which leads through the Eiger and the Mönch. Overnight in Interlaken. (B)

    Day 3Interlaken – Montreux

    GoldenPass ExpressToday travel on the GoldenPass Express to Montreux. The GoldenPass Express provides a seamless and even more comfortable travel experience on one of Switzerland’s most picturesque train routes. Starting from the Jungfrau Region to the Vaudois Riviera and sparkling Lake Geneva, the journey on the GoldenPass Express is like a foray through Switzerland. Overnight in Montreux. (B)

    Day 4Montreux - Zermatt

    Jungfraujoch Excursion Today board regional trains to Zermatt, the alpine resort at the foot of the majestic Matterhorn. Today’s journey takes you southwards into the Alps as you make the ascent to lively Zermatt. Enjoy a day at leisure in this charming traffic-free village, set at the base of the iconic Matterhorn. Overnight in Zermatt. (B)

    Day 5Zermatt - St Moritz

    Jungfraujoch Excursion Board the Glacier Express and enjoy one of the greatest rail journeys of the world! The Glacier Express takes you across 291 bridges, through 91 tunnels and across the Oberalp Pass at 2033 m to St. Moritz. Overnight in St. Moritz. (B)

    Day 6St Moritz - Lugano

    Jungfraujoch ExcursionToday the Bernina Express takes you along its the UNESCO World Heritage route, from St. Moritz to the Italian speaking region, Ticino. Enjoy an Alpine switchback ride, taking you from a land of towering glaciers to one of swaying palms. The railway is unique, blending ideally with the alpine landscapes around the Albula and Bernina Passes. The train negotiates the 55 tunnels, 196 bridges and inclines of up to 70 per mile with ease. On arrival in Tirano (Italy), you continue your journey on the Bernina Express bus through Italy and on to the Swiss city of Lugano. Overnight in Lugano. (B)

    Day 7Lugano - Lucerne

    LucerneToday travel on the Gotthard Panorama Express Lugano – Lucerne. Travel northwards from Lugano to Flüelen via Bellinzona, as you take the marvellous Gotthard Panorama Express, in a panorama car to maximise the stunning views. In Flüelen board the historic paddle steamer and take to the waters of Lake Lucerne for the atmospheric crossing to Lucerne. Overnight in Lucerne. (B)

    Day 8Depart Lucerne

    Return to any Swiss border or airport or continue your stay in Switzerland. (B)

    A coffee and a croissant will be served on board the Chocolate Train. The ‘Maison Cailler-Nestlé’ chocolate factory awaits you. You will learn about the history of Swiss chocolate making tradition followed by a chocolate tasting. Afterwards a bus takes you to the village of Gruyères for some leisure time.
    You may wish to go for lunch and enjoy the tasty local cheese fondue or visit the Gruyères Castle. Late afternoon the coach takes you to ‘La Maison du Gruyère’ for a demonstration visit of the cheese factory followed by the return travel to Montreux by coach.

    The Gotthard Panorama ExpressTues-Sun | 19 April - 20 October

    Today the Gotthard Panorama Express awaits you – one of the most beautiful travel experience through the Alps. Enjoy a lake cruise from Lucerne to Flüelen, access onto the train over the Gotthard panorama route to Bellinzona and continue to Lugano OR in reverse to Lucerne.
